For T-Mobile Webconnect Manager and Blue Screen error related to the device.

" Corruption has been detected in feature manager setting, Backup has been loaded "

Step 1:
a. Click Start and then Click Computer.
b. Click on the Organize button.
c. Click on View and check Show Hidden Files and Folders .
d. Also uncheck Hide extensions for known file types and Hide protected operating system files.
e. Now, browse to the following directory:
C:\Program Data\t-mobile\Communcation Manager (or Webconnect Manager)\
f. Delete the files featuremanager.xml.rc4 and featuremanagerBackup.xml.RC4.

Step 2:

Uninstall and Reinstall Web connect Manager and check if it resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, then please get in touch with T-Mobile support for further assistance.

I was told when I bought it that it supported up to five devices but I can't figure out how to set them up. The "guide" is no use at all and the help menu doesn't come anywhere near this subject.

I read elsewhere that someone suggested setting CONNECTION...PHONE #   *99***1#   APN as epc.tmobile.com.   Is this universal for all USB sticks from T-Mobile or is it stick specific?   I am on the pay as you go, broadband data plan.   Thank you.

When driving around in my car I get a lot of disconnects. Now I have to pull

I can get to the internet and scooter all around, but get hung-up with "Aquiring IP" in the Sonicwall VPN.  Any suggestions??

For some reason I cannot receive any Text Messages from anyone other than TMobile.  I did receive the Temporary Password message when registering for online management of my account.  I have sent several messages from two different phones (Both Verizon) and none of my messages seem to go through.  I thought I could receive SMS Messages from any 10 digit phone number but only send to T-Mobile customers?

 

Any ideas on this?

i cannot get online. for the first month my dongle was faultless i,m now into the second month and cannot get online.

I am looking to get a USB data device for T-Mobile that will work with the Cradlepoint PHS-300 (there is a list of compatible modems in a tab on: http://www.cradlepoint.com/products/mobile-broadband-routers/phs300-personal-wifi-hotspot).

 

There is one ZTE device and a bunch of Huawei. I think I prefer the ZTE one.

 

On that page, it says "ZTE MF691 [webConnect Rocket 2.0 HSPA+]".

 

When I am searching for one to buy, I see a lot of them listed as the webConnect Rocket 2.0, but the model number as MF591.

 

Does anyone know which is the correct model number to buy?

I just bought USB Laptop Stick (T-Mobile webConnect Manager 2.05) in Nov., in Cambodia. When I start use it, I could not find the USSD function to check my balance and refill money. Additionally, the Call funtions could not be found. How should I do? Please help me about this.

I have a T-Mobile Jet 2.0 Laptop Stick (says model Huawei UMG366 inside).  I have tried the last two days to get this modem to work.  I have tried it with my MacBook Pro, with Windows XP in Parallels, and with an HP Envy running Windows 7.  I have tried this in various areas that have good coverage.  I have updated the modem and Webconnect Manager to 2.06.  I've restarted my computer about 20 times and have restarted my Mac in 32-bit mode.  I am fairly computer literate but not an expert. 

 

It's my understanding that the modem should connect to the T-Mobile network, and after that, I will be able to enter my activation code, SIM card number, IMEI number, and then pay for some time and data.  Maybe I am wrong, because all the error messages seem to point to the fact that the modem is connecting, but that the remote network (the T-Mobile network) is not accepting the connection. 

 

I've had various error messages as follows:

 

error 770: the remote computer rejected the connection attempt

error 635: there wa an unknown error (in Windows XP)

error: the remote computer rejected the connection attempt

 

your connection has been lost and numerous reconnection attempts have failed

Your connection was unexpectedly lost and reconnection attempts have failed.\

 

Windows 7 operating system let me try to connect the modem without using the WebConnect manager and gave me the following error message: network is rejecting login, is not accepting connections

 

 

I hope that someone can help -- thanks.

I have a Rocket 3 and it is stuck as a cd drive - the 2.06.00034.0 software is installed and works fine with Jet card. I have tried ejecting the drive and have played around with the various USB drivers but only rarely can I get the card to come up as a network card. Anyway to turn the Cd drive software install off permanently?

When I have gone to websites I know, I have gotten a blank screen. (specifically, midwayusa, a gunsmithand reloading site) Is T-mobile filtering my searches and if so, How do I disable it?

I've had my USB Rocket for almost two years.  For the last half of that, I use it as a low cost low bandwidth backup for my Verizon MiFi 4G hotspot.  I have been having Verizon trouble recently and have been using the Rocket.  I noticed on eBay that the image quality is extremely poor.  Zooming in to high-res item pics doesn't help much either.  Pictures are fuzzy, extra lines and distortion make it hard to see detail - important when purchasing items.  I was gunna complain to eBay but noticed that *all* web images are now distorted to some degree; some significantly more than others.

 

Is the Rocket doing this or is it the T-Mobile network?

 

I looked everywhere for a webConnect setting to disable something like image compression.  No joy.

 

I'll take slower thruput to get better images.

 

Anybody else have this issue?

Any solutions?

I just bought a TMobile Rocket 4G USB Laptop stick - model ZTE MF591 and unfortunately cannot get the drivers to install properly on my netbook. 

 

I am trying to install on Acer Asper One D255 netbook, running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3.

 

I inserted the device and it seemed to install some of the drivers properly and then prompted me to install the TMobile software, which I did.  After that was done installing, it tried to install some more drivers and that's where it bombs out and says that it could not install the device.

 

When I take out the laptop stick and reinsert it, it once again says

 

"This wizard helps you install software for

 

T-Mobile Rocket 4G prepaid"

 

I click the option to try to install automatically and then it says "Cannot Install this Hardware".

 

When I start the T-Mobile Connection Manager, the program starts and says "Checking Device" but then just gets stuck there and does not proceed. 

 

I installed the device on my desktop and all the drivers seemed to install just fine.  So I know it isn't the Rocket device itself.

 

Please let me know if you have any ideas how I can fix this or otherwise I will have to return the Rocket device and try with some other device or mobile provider.  Thank you..

The Rocket 2.0 is working well enough with my HP g6 notebook with Win8, but the compatibility assistant flags it as incompatible with the 8.1 upgrade. The connection manager only lists up to Win7 on the options list, and checking for upgrades results in a message that I have the latest software. Have I reached the limits of this device?

Okay let me start out by saying I am a with t mobile against my own will my brother got it, my mom made me join his plan, and I don't turn 18 for another month and I didn't want to get my internet from there.. in fact i almost cried.

 

The service is suppose to cover my area, I checked on every chart I could find online and in the store. I even asked him.

 

I have several other problems too with t mobile

-I bought my sidekick the day before the big sidekick blowup and they wouldn't refund it but they would gladly change me to another phone for 400 dollars.

-My blackberry service is random and when I get service I get service when I loose it I loose it. I can't stand at one place, go to another place, it has a mind of its own and once again there is nothing wrong with the phone service..they've checked.

 

whatever I still thinks it the service anyhow.

 

I got my T mobile Jet 2.0 4G laptop stick.

I was excited (stupidly) I had never had at home internet on my computer because I had it on my phone, library and at the votech,and my mom didn't want to bring in a phoneline so she said she would help me with a laptop stick. Well I downloaded it and it said I needed and update of something to run it so I went to my moms office and got on her wifi and my macbook air said it had an update so i let it update and then it said it would be better ran on a 32 bit instead of a 64 so i restarted it again this time in 32 and then it said "Radio off" so I unistalled it several times tried every way i knew and still nothing.

 

Please help. I know i'm probably doing something dumb. I just need help. I would like to enroll already.

While trying to figure out what was going on with the t-mobile connection manager I fired up Task Manager and I immediately wondered what this "MainApp.exe" was that was consuming more CPU time than anything else on my machine.

 

It's the connection manager. You would never guess that from the name. Names matter. Don't try to hide.

 

I also noticed that the connection manager consumes 61 MB of private memory/working-set, despite not even being connected to the network. That seems a bit excessive.
